Requests for changes to UI
Modified By asbornsc on 1/11/2010 9:24:26 AM)

It would be great if there was an expand/collapse all (maybe even by object type?) for a workspace.  And while I realize that we just need to do an extension of the CSLA mold to be able to set all the entities to CRUD and assign our standard names to the various classes (root, list, info, infolist and nvlist) and universal rules, if you could change common properties simultaneously on a set of entities, that would be a great timesaver.

Also, the textboxes and DDLs in the CSLA Details work area are very narrow and aren't resizeable.  There is a lot of space available on the right, particularly for the Name,Value List tab.  And just nitpicking here but the tab 'Childs' should be 'Children'.

And when you create a ReadOnly list, the Info Class name defaults to the base + Info which is fine, but the List Class defaults to the base + List.  I think the standard is base + InfoList.

Re: Requests for changes to UI

I agree, the workspace designer definately needs a collapse/expand all. I tried to model one of my databases and it took forever to collapse them all so that I could see all of the objects easily. I also noticed that when you clicked on the collapse/expand button for an object, it loads all of the relevant information. Is this necessary when collapsing/expanding?

Agreed, Childs should be renamed to Children and the textbox sizing issue.

Agreed, readonly info lists should be named ObjectNameInfoList.

I have not played around a lot with the rest, but so far this tool seems to have great potential! Keep up the good work.
